CORRECTION: Friday KSL News reported an unidentified 49-year-old male truck driver carrying groceries was killed. Report corrects identity to 50-year-old driver truck carrying steel who was killed.(Salt Lake City, KSL News) -- Two semi trucks collided head-on in Spanish Fork Canyon today.
A truck carrying groceries was westbound on Highway 6 when it crossed the center line and hit an eastbound truck hauling steel.
The driver of the steel truck, 50-year-old James Howard Orton of North Ogden, was killed instantly. The other driver was seriously injured. Investigators say speed may have been a factor.
