(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Someone hacked into the Salt Lake County Web site last week, forcing it to be shut down for around seven hours.

Darren Franchow, the county's chief information officer, said there was no damage to any county computers and no confidential information was taken.

The hacker apparently used an old Web server to gain access to the county's site and deface it.

The site is back online now.
