(KSL TV) Police in Clearfield say that they will file charges against an alleged rapist based on his DNA rather than his identity.

DNA found on two rape victims in Clearfield has been identified as belonging to the same suspect.

The Davis County Attorneys Office is planning to file charges by Friday against "John Doe" in hopes of keeping a case open until police can locate the man. This way, the statute of limitations will not expire before the suspect is caught.

The rapes occurred in 2000.
