(Salt Lake City, KSL News) -- The Administrative Office of the Courts is looking to fill the vacancy left open by former 4-th District Court Judge Ray Harding Jr. who resigned last month.
Court administrators will accept applications until April 10-th.
Then they will narrow down the candidates, sending between three and five names to Governor Leavitt.
Leavitt will have a month to choose Harding's replacement and ask the Senate for confirmation.
The Senate will have two months to act.
Harding took a plea bargain on Tuesday to a pair of misdemeanor drug possession charges.
He'll be sentenced next month, and is expected to get probation.
