(Salt Lake City- KSL TV) Mayor Rocky Anderson has unveiled a new look for the Salt Lake International Airport.
Anderson worked the backhoe yesterday and brought in the first of the soil needed for the project.
The multi-million dollar construction plan will reconfigure the entrance to the airport, including the relocation of an overpass and the construction of three new traffic bridges.
Anderson say that the construction will take just over a year to complete, during which time there will be traffic detours.
The projects is expected to boost the city's economy both through short term job opportunities and long term aestectic appeal to visitors.
