CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- A Cedar City man has been charged with four felonies for allegedly hiring women to appear in public naked while he videotaped them.

Shawn Scherick faces two counts of distributing pornographic material and two counts of lewdness involving a child. All are third-degree felonies.

Charging documents say the 39-year-old Scherick allegedly hired a woman on Craigslist in August and paid her to wash his vehicle at a car wash while she was naked. Later that day he allegedly asked the same woman to strip and walk through a Cedar City parking lot.

In the videos there are other people in the area, including children. Court papers say authorities found multiple similar videos.

Scherick is due in state court Jan. 5.

Court papers don't list an attorney for Scherick. No phone listing for him could be found.
