Sandra Yi reportingRiverdale Police are looking for two men involved in a violent home invasion robbery early this morning.

John Crossfield thought a neighbor was at his door when the bell rang early this morning.

Instead, there were two men dressed in black hooded sweatshirts. He says they pushed their way in and clubbed him on the shoulder. When Crossfield fell back on his couch, the men tied his hands.

The suspects, he says, then forced him down the hallway and into his bedroom where they hog tied him and threatened to kill him. Crossfield says the men asked him if there were any guns or jewelry in his home. He heard them search the place then leave.

William Fuchs/Riverdale Police Dept.: "THEY TOOK THE VICTIM'S HOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, STEREO SPEAKER, CD'S. THEY TOOK HIS CASH, CREDIT CARD, CHECKS, PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION."

Crossfield says he didn't recognize the men or their voices. Police are still investigating and believe the suspects picked Crossfield at random.

Meanwhile, neighbors say they also feel invaded.

Steve Johnson/Neighbor: "I'M SORRY SOMETHING HAPPENED TO HIM. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT THEY'D BE AFTER AND WHY THEY WOULD DO THAT."

John Crossfield says he doesn't know why this happened to him. He teared up as he talked about his ordeal. He says he's so scared that he's now thinking about moving.

Police give this description of the two suspects in this incident:

White males, wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black clothes.

They took off in a blue, 1994 Chevy extended cab pick up truck with Utah license plate 608GTK. Riverdale City is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
