(KSL TV) Police are still looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery and a high speed chase.
Police say five people tried to push their way into a Sandy apartment at 9400 S. 1100 East last night, threatening the resident with a knife. The robbers started ransacking the place, going through closets and drawers. They left the apartment after finding an A-K 47 rifle.
Police found the suspects' vehicle a short time later and began chasing the group using police dogs. Three of the suspects were caught.
Lt. Mark Nosack/Sandy Police Dept.: "ONE OF THE INDIVIDUALS THAT WE'VE IDENTIFIED IN THE SITUATION IS GANG RELATED. AND HE WAS THROWING HIS COLORS OUT AND BRAGGING ABOUT HIS GANG AFTER HE WAS IN CUSTODY."
No one was hurt in the incident, but police say the two suspects still at large are considered extremely dangerous.
