LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Three Marines from Utah have been wounded in Iraq.
Lance Cpl. Roger Anderson of Clearfield, Cpl. Wayde Broberg of Midvale, and Cpl. Scott Lee of Ogden sustained shrapnel wounds Tuesday while fighting in Baghdad.
"All of them are OK," Capt. Jason Dougherty said. "It's mostly just flesh wounds."
An officer at the Marines' Peacetime-Wartime Support Team in North Las Vegas said their relatives have been notified.
They are part of a weapons platoon from Fox Company, a unit based at the Armed Forces Reserve Center near Nellis Air Force Base.
The three were among 1,000 Marines from the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Regiment sent to Operation Iraqi Freedom in February from Camp Pendleton, Calif.
The unit uses shoulder-fired, anti-tank weapons, tripod-mounted machine guns and 60-millimeter mortars.
