(KSL TV) The main suspect in Friday's gang shooting in Midvale is in police custody.

Around 11:00 Saturday morning, Midvale detectives were tipped to the whereabouts of William Lopez Madrigal. Madrigal had apparently fled to California where he turned himself in Saturday afternoon.

Detectives say Madrigal shot a suspected rival gang member in the back of the head yesterday at 8270 S. Tiffany Town Drive in Midvale. That person was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter.
