Logan-AP) -- The city of Logan is having budget problems -- and city leaders are thinking about closing the city-owned swimming pool to save money.
The city has run the indoor pool for 42 years, but this year has seen the city budget drop about a (M)million dollars below what was expected. The pool is being examined as one way to cut costs.
The pool is popular with the general public and with students at Logan School District.
Talk of closing the pool surfaced last year, but after those in the community spoke up, city leaders kept the pool open but reduced its hours.
