(Ogden-AP) -- A man in Ogden has learned that police aren't willing to help him get his drug money back.

Ogden police say a 22-year-old man initially reported a robbery. But when they officers began to question the man about his story -- he told them it wasn't a robbery but rather a drug deal.

The man reportedly told police that he went to a house to buy drugs and handed over the cash for a quarter-ounce of marijuana. The drug dealer apparently didn't return with the drugs -- so the man called the police.

Officers didn't arrest anybody in the case.
