Carole Mikita reporting Television stations, in Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C, and Philadelphia, all participated in a first ever satellite performance with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, here on Temple Square.

Those cities are preparing to host the choir's Northeast -Tour this summer.

"GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUJAH..."

What a way to start the morning! At 7am mountain time, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir began by singing its Grammy Award-winning signature piece via satellite to television stations throughout the Eastern United States.

"IT'S A GREAT THRILL TO COME BACK TO BOSTON... IT'S BEEN TOO LONG SINCE WE'VE BEEN THERE..."

The idea for the 75th anniversary tour began with an invitation from Boston Pops and Utah Symphony Music Director, Keith Lockhart. Choir members with ties to the East are thrilled.

This is an unprecedented satellite tour for the choir.

And as a tribute to the City of Brotherly Love, the choir stepped into the realm of football fight songs for one of their fans, Philadelphia Eagle's coach, Andy Reid

"ONE THE ROAD TO VICTORY... E-A-G-L-E-S... EAGLES!"

It's not about winning games, but hearts for this group. And at each city, one song will do it.

"AMERICA, AMERICA... GOD SHED HIS GRACE ON THEE..."

The tour begins June 24th.
