(KSL News) -- An eight year old boy nearly drowned at a Kaysville amusement park tonight.
The boy was spotted on the bottom of a swimming pool at the Cherry Hill resort. He appeared lifeless when pulled from the pool, but lifeguards and a nurse who happened to be at the pool were able to resuscitate him. Cherry Hill says it's lifeguards are well-trained, but says parents need to be vigilant as well.
Bruce Lloyd, Cherry Hill Recreation Park:"WE DO RELY UPON THE PARENTS TO KEEP AN EYE ON THEIR CHILDREN THERE'S NO QUESTION ABOUT IT WHEN THERE'S A HUNDRED PEOPLE IN THE WATER."
The child was taken to Lakeview Hospital, and then transferred to Primary Childrens. He is expected to fully recover.
