DRAPER -- A 7-year-old boy was hit in a crosswalk in Draper Tuesday afternoon. A spokeswoman for Draper City says it happened right in front of the city offices at 1020 E. Pioneer Road.

The boy was walking in a crosswalk with another child when a car hit the 7-year-old; the impact threw him 40 feet.

The boy was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The investigation into what caused the accident is still under way. The Draper spokeswoman says it appears the driver did not see the children.
