(KSL News) -- An airplane with two Utah men aboard crashed today in Idaho.
The plane was attempting a landing at the airport in Atlanta, Idaho, which is in Elmore County, between Boise and Ketchum.
Witnesses say it came in for a landing, but the pilot apparently decided he didn't have enough runway, so he tried to take off again.
The plane banked to the right.. and hit the tops of some trees.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The pilot is in critical condition.
Their names have not been released.
