(KSL TV) A man led police on a two-hour manhunt Friday afternoon in the Utah County mountains.
Police stopped Provo resident James Birch near the Squaw Peak trail in Provo.
But Birch suddenly took off, leading police on a brief car chase while allegedly throwing drug paraphernalia out the window.
Eventually, Birch abandoned his car near Springville, and ran into the mountains.
Police chased him on foot through rugged terrain before finally catching him.
