(KSL TV) Police in Orem are searching for a suspect in the weekend murder of two people. Authorities are also still trying to identify one of the victims.
Maritza Aguilar, 22, was identified yesterday morning. Her body -- along with that of a young Hispanic male -- was found Saturday morning on a road at Cook's Farm and Greenhouse near 1600 N. Geneva Road.
Brett Cook/ Called 911: "I COULD SEE A GUY LAYING OUT OF THE CAR IN THE DIRT. AND JUST ABOUT THE TIME I GOT BEHIND HIM YOU COULD SEE THE BLOOD UNDER HIM."
Detectives initially suspected they were dealing with a murder-suicide, but after finding no weapon and no shell casings have concluded both victims were murdered.
Lt. Ned Jackson: "WE HAVE FOUND A WITNESS HERE ABOUT 1 A.M. THE CAR WAS NOT HERE THEN. THIS OCCURRED BETWEEN AFTER 1:00 AND BEFORE 8:00 (SUNDAY) MORNING, WHEN WE GOT THE CALL."
There have been no murders in the city of Orem since January of last year.
Anyone with information on the deaths is asked to call police.
