Shelly Huynh and her ex-husband Chay Huynh are accused of physically and sexually torturing their six children in the late 1990's.

Shelly Huynh's long criminal history also includes charges in 2001 that she burned down her home to collect insurance and then blamed it on her children. She served sixty days in jail.

In December 2002, the Huynhs were arrested for child abuse, but Shelly Huynh bailed out of jail.

Just this past April, she was arrested in Riverdale for tryng to pass 80 thousand dollars in bad checks.

By mistake, Weber County authorities released her from jail.

Finally, last week, the 34 year old woman tried to buy a two million dollar home in Salt Lake County by putting down a three hundred thousand dollar deposit.

The homeowner caught on to her apparent scam, and called Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputies.
