(Salt Lake City-AP) -- It might seem like a lot of work for pocket change -- but Darren Edward Shaw is charged with theft, for allegedly stealing two vending machines.
In one case, prosecutors say he went to a Salt Lake City restaurant and told the workers he was there to fix the vending machine. He reportedly hauled it outside, loaded it in his truck and took off.
That was on April 16th. Next day, an employee at a discount store identified 37-year-old Shaw as the one who had come in and removed a gumball machine from the store.
