KSL NewsWorkers at Utah's Kennecott operations last night approved a new labor contract.
The thirteen-hundred union workers voted to accept a six year deal, worked out between management and labor union negotiators.
Under the contract, each worker will receive an average pay increase of two dollars 48 cents an hour, plus a 500-dollar settlement bonus.
Retired workers will also keep their medical benefits, which was a key issue for the union.
