Iron County Sheriff Dude Benson was in a Cedar City courtroom today where he was hit with eight felony counts.
Benson already faced charges of Obstruction of Justice in an ongoing investigation of The Iron County Sheriff's Department by The Utah Attorney General's office.
The new charges accuse Benson of misuse of public money and theft, as well as lying to investigators and attempting to intimidate a witness.
Benson's lawyer says his client maintains his innocence.
