(KSL News) -- Recent fires and the extreme fire danger have prompted officials to implement fire restrictions throughout most of the state.

Fire Restrictions

  1. No open fires/camp fires (*exception: developed recreation sites)
  2. No smoking (*exception: enclosed vehicles/buildings, developed recreation site)
  3. No fireworks/tracer ammunition The restrictions prohibit the use of open fires or camp fires, except in developed recreation sites. Smoking is prohibited except in enclosed vehicles or buildings, a developed recreation site, or in an area cleared of flammable materials. Restrictions also include fireworks or tracer ammunition on all state, federal and private unincorporated lands. The restrictions go into effect July 17th and cover all areas highlighted on the map.
