(KSL News) -- Dozens of kids spent today testing out their roping skills, riding bucking broncos, and competing in chuck wagon races.

It was all part of the third annual Special Kids Rodeo in Ogden.

This mock-rodeo is held for Utah's special needs children as part of Pioneer Days Celebration.

The kids are paired with rodeo clowns, queens, and professional cowboys who show them the ropes.

All the children walked away with their own rodeo memorabilia: a hat, t-shirt, trophy and stick horse.
