(KSL News) -- Fire crews are still battling the Green Canyon Fire that started yesterday near Logan. Fire bosses estimate it has blackened about 70 acres so far and is now 50 percent contained.
Crews have been aggressively fighting the blaze by land and by air. At this time, no structures are being threatened. They hope to have it under control before the winds pick up again.
Kelly Pitcher, Cache County Fire Chief: “It’s way steep. It’s been burning very erratically because it’s so dry. And just a little bit of wind makes for real extreme fire behavior
Authorities say the fire is human caused. They are investigating several leads.
