(Blanding-AP) -- Federal investigators are looking in to a plane crash that killed four people.

The plane crashed yesterday shortly after taking off from the airport in Blanding.

San Juan County Sheriff's department says a man and his three grandsons died in the crash around eleven a.m. when the plane exploded on impact.

Federal Aviation Administrators investigators arrived today to check out the crash scene in the remote area about an hour south of Moab and 30 miles west of the Colorado state line.

The names of the victims had not been released today.
