(KSL News) -- A Utah teen has been crowned this year's high school rodeo queen. Lynette Nelson, of North Logan, won the title yesterday in New Mexico.

During her reign, Nelson will serve as student officer for the National High School Rodeo Association and she will represent the group at the professional National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Among other cowgirl skills, this Utah queen competes in breakaway roping and team roping.
