(Clearfield-AP) -- A Roy man was killed when an automated conveyor system at Lifetime Products in Clearfield apparently came down on top of him.
Sixty-three-year-old Gerald D. Checketts, a maintenance worker for the company, was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday night.
Assistant Clearfield Police Chief Jim Schilling said that just before midnight, a maintenance supervisor found Checketts pinned under part of an automated conveyor system in the packaging area.
Schilling said investigators have yet to determine the cause of the accident.
