LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Bear River Head Start will use nearly $1.9 million in federal stimulus money to serve 32 more infants and toddlers through a new center in Logan.
The agency serves children and their families in Cache, Box Elder and Rich counties, as well as Idaho's Caribou, Oneida, Bear Lake and Bannock counties.
Bear River Head Start currently serves 486 children.
The new center will serve children from birth to age 3. Logan's Head Start center, which serves children from ages 3 to 5, also expand its services to include another 17 children.
Sarah Thurgood, Bear River Head Start executive director, says funding for the program will be spent over two years.
