(Provo-AP) -- Just like the name says -- an Orem shop "Beat the Bookstore".
Mike Winward is co-owner of Beat the Bookstore. He's been trying to get Utah Valley State College to hand over its list of college textbooks for the coming semester. His shop competes with the state-run, on-campus bookstore.
And he says university officials were shutting him out by withholding the lists. So he went to court to get the information. He was seeking a judge's order to release the fall textbook list, but the school has now disclosed the information voluntarily.
The court case is still pending because of some other unresolved issues concerning access to public information, but a lawyer for the bookstore says they'll try to negotiate with the school about that.
