(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Today is the last day to sign up for Utah's Children's Health Insurance Program.
The state-run program, known as CHIP, offers health care coverage for children in working families that can't afford traditional health insurance.
The open enrollment period ends today at five p.m., and all qualified children who apply will be accepted. Children qualify based on family size and income. Small premiums and co-payments may be required.
