(Photo courtesy Utah Department of Public Safety) MEXICAN HAT, Utah (AP) -- The Utah Highway Patrol says a Colorado woman has been killed in a one-car crash in San Juan County in the southern part of the state.

The highway patrol says 40-year-old Mary Elizabeth Broome was traveling on Route 163 near Mexican Hat Monday afternoon when her vehicle crossed the center line. Troopers say she was probably going fast when she came upon a curve and drove off the side of the road.

The highway patrol says the vehicle skidded and rolled several times, killing Broome. The road was wet at the time of the crash.

Troopers say Broome was from Whitewater, Colo.

The crash is under investigation. Broome was wearing her seat belt and was the only person in the vehicle.
