Utah's Sentencing Commission just completed a study of Capital Punishment in Utah and, is looking into repealing the firing squad. Utah is the only state still providing that option.
In a new, KSL TV-Deseret Morning News poll by Dan Jones and Associates 51-percent feel execution by firing squad, definitely or probably should not be allowed.
45 percent of those polled think a firing squad probably or definitely should be allowed.
