Sam Penrod reporting Utah's most famous family is getting a big honor tomorrow in Hollywood.

The Osmond family will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Few people around the world could tell you they've never heard of the Osmonds, from Donny and Marie, to Jimmy who is a big name in Japan. The Osmond Brothers are still recording music and have a CD that is number one right now in Great Britain. And tomorrow the Osmond family will receive a prestigious award in Hollywood, after five decades in show business.

When the Osmond kids made their first TV appearance on the Andy Williams show in 1962, they became an enormous hit. People across the country became fascinated with the nine children of George and Olive Osmond. The family act included Alan, Wayne, Merrill Jay, Donny, Marie and Jimmy. Some of the Osmonds eventually took their careers out on their own. But from music, to television, a theater in Branson, and Broadway plays, even with some ups and downs along the way, the Osmonds have become a household name around the world.

When the Osmonds Star is unveiled tomorrow here on Hollywood Boulevard, the family will join other entertainment greats on the world's most famous sidewalk.

Of the 200 nominations considered each year by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, only 20- stars are awarded. And they aren't free, each star pays 15- thousand dollars to get their bronze star on the walk of fame. And tomorrow's star ceremony is attracting a lot of Osmonds and their fans.

The Osmond star ceremony is tomorrow morning, Andy Williams is scheduled to be here to introduce the Osmonds.
