(KSL News) -- A fire burning on Lake Mountain is now contained. Fire crews are still on the scene cleaning up and looking out for hot spots.
It was started by lightning yesterday and has destroyed about 50 acres. Crews were able to protect powerlines and a telecommunication site that were threatened.
Lightning started a total of 41 new fires yesterday across the state.
Investigators believe lightning also sparked a fire just east of Ogden today. It's not a big fire, just 15 to 20 acres.
A helicopter and plane worked the flames today. This evening, the fire is about 25 percent contained.
