SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Republican U.S. Sen. Bob Bennett has recruited more than 60 Utah mayors to help with his re-election campaign.
Bennett is seeking a fourth term, but is facing several challengers from within his own party.
Bennett's campaign says the mayors will be responsible for recruiting potential delegates to the Republican state convention.
Delegates will be selected in March and the convention is in May. Only candidates who fail to obtain 60 percent of delegate votes at the state convention will be forced into a primary.
