(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Today is the last day to file for candidacy in the upcoming Salt Lake City mayor's race.

Current Mayor Rocky Anderson and challenger Frank Pignanelli have already filed their papers.

Pignanelli planned to spend this morning unveiling his plan for revitalization on Main Street.

Meanwhile, Pignanelli and another challenger, Molonai Hola, would be waiting to see what Merrill Cook might be up to.

The long-time politician has hinted that he might enter the race. Cook is a former congressman who has played the political spoiler in a couple of Utah races in the past.

He has until five p.m. today to file his papers at City Hall if he wants to run.
