SALT LAKE CITY - A definitive sign of winter is the closure of mountain passes because of snow. Monday, the Utah Department of Transportation announced three such closures.
The Mirror Lake Highway is now closed to traffic, eliminating one route from the Wasatch Front to Evanston, Wyo.
State Route 35 through Wolf Creek Pass will be closed between Hanna and Woodland, eliminating one route into the Uintah Basin.
Guardsman's Pass between Park City and Brighton is also closed for the year.
All three roads will remain closed until spring.
