POMONA, Calif. (AP) -- A Utah man convicted of killing his elderly brother and sister-in-law at their southern California home has been sentenced.
Yesterday, a judge ordered Kent Wesley Holman to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Back in November --- Holman was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder for the August 2005 shooting deaths of 83-year-old Lavar Holman and his 81-year-old wife, Adeline.
Jurors also found Holman guilty of arson and burglary.
Prosecutors say Holman killed the couple over a financial dispute, then set fire to their West Covina condo to cover up the crime.
Holman was arrested after surrendering to authorities in his hometown of St. George, Utah.
