(Brigham City-AP) -- A Hyrum man who pleaded guilty to murdering a girl and dumping her body in a Mormon church building parking lot will be sentenced today.

39-year old Mark Jensen pleaded guilty to first degree felony counts of murder and rape.

Jensen was arrested last year for shooting 17-year old Jammie Richards to death.

Her body was found behind a shed in the parking lot of a Mormon church building in Box Elder County.

In exchange for Jensens's guilty pleas, police dropped rape charges against Jensen in two other unrelated cases.

He still faces rape charges in a third case.

Jensen faces prison terms of five years to life.
