(KSL News) -- For the second time in less than a week, a car accident claims the life of a teenager.

Last night, a 16-year old girl was killed and her 18-year old sister critically injured, in an accident in West Valley City.

Angie and Christina Griego were driving on 54-hundred South shortly before nine o'clock.

They collided with an oncoming van as they tried to turn left onto U-one-eleven.

Two passengers in the van were also injured.

They're in serious condition.

Last week, 17 year old Brent Pierce and 16 year old Carson Draper were killed along State Road 92 near Highland after their car went of the road, hitting a fence and part of a tree.

Their funerals are being held today in American Fork.
