(KSL News) The former Iron County Sheriff will be in court later today.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled in Cedar City this afternoon for David "Dude" Benson.
Benson is accused of eight felony counts -- including misusing public money, obstruction of justice, witness tampering and other offenses.
Benson's attorney says his client maintains he is innocent.
