(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A man accused of hitting three Taylorsville children with his car and killing two of them will be arraigned today.
19-year old Michael Whitton is scheduled to appear in court via video from the Salt Lake County Jail at nine a-m.
He's charged with two felony counts of criminal homicide and driving under the influence of drugs.
Tests show Whitton had traces of marijuana, speed, depressants and other drugs in his system.
Police say Whitton lost control of his car last Thursday and hit the three children as they played in their driveway.
One of the children survived and is being hospitalized.
Whitton faces between one to 15 years in jail on each homicide charge and five years for D-U-I if he's convicted.
