(Springdale-AP) -- Officials are trying to figure out who killed and beheaded a bull elk.

The elk was found dead inside Zion National Park near the Blue Springs Reservoir. Authorities say the body of the animal was intact, but the head was missing.

They're offering a five-thousand dollar reward for any information leading to a suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Utah Division of Wildlife at 1-800-663-3337.
