(Palmyra-AP) -- A family of six is homeless after fire ripped through their home.

It happened Tuesday around two-thirty p-m at the family's home in Palmyra. That's near Spanish Fork.

Boyd James says he and his wife along with their four children weren't home when the fire broke out. His wife discovered the fire as she drove up to the home.

The neighbors helped the family fight the blaze before firefighters arrived, but the three bedroom home was destroyed.

The family has lived there since 1989. They're staying with relatives for now.

But a church leader who lives near the family is collecting donations for the family.
