(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A cold front has moved into Utah, bringing now to the northern parts of the state.
The National Weather Service reported about eight inches of snow had accumulated in Smithfield near the Idaho border today. Other snow totals included seven inches at Logan, six inches at Alta and Coalville, three inches at Tooele and two inches at Brigham City and Heber City. Most communities received only a trace or less.
A snow advisory was issued for the Cache Valley and the Wasatch Mountains, and a wind advisory was issued for east-central and most of southern Utah.
The Utah Highway patrol reported that Interstate 80 was closed in Wyoming from Evanston to Lyman due to the weather, but no major problems were reported in Utah.
