(West Valley City-AP) -- An elderly couple was found dead in their home and West Valley police say it looks like a murder-suicide.

They were called out to the home last night after worried family members called them, saying they hadn't heard from the couple in about five days.

Police found the man's body on the couch near a rifle in the living room, and the woman's body lying on the floor.

Investigators say it appears the man shot the woman then turned the gun on himself.

The couple appears to have been dead for several days, but an autopsy will be done to determine when the couple died.

The man was in his 70s and the woman was in her 50s but their names have not yet been released.

They had been living together for about 15-years but weren't married.
