(Logan-AP) -- Cache Valley will soon be home to a new cream cheese distribution plant. That's what Logan Mayor Doug Thompson says.
Schreiber Foods Incorporated says the 35-thousand square-foot plant will be its West Coast distributor. Construction has already begun at the Logan facility.
The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based company will receive a financial incentive package for choosing Logan for its expansion.
It'll be reimbursed as much as 750-thousand dollars per year over the next 12-years for building costs, road improvements, a pretreatment facility and building permits.
The expansion is expected to generate at least a two (m) million dollar increase in property tax revenue.
The plant's expected to be operational by summer 2004.
