(KSL News) -- Salt Lake City police are asking for your help in trying to solve a shooting spree in Sugarhouse.

Officers began getting calls around 7 o'clock last night from businesses that had had their windows shot out.

Since then investigators have received more than 60 reports of vandalism in the area ranging from businesses to cars, with tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

Dwayne Baird, Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "We have a couple of ideas. One is that a pellet gun was used and we're pretty certain of that as well as marbles being shot either from a wrist rocket or sling shot of some sort. But we've found remnants of marbles through the broken glass as we've investigated this with the businesses that have been involved."

Investigators believe the suspects drove through the area shooting randomly.

They're asking anyone with information or if you see anything suspicious to call police.
