(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Utah's two Republican U-S senators are hailing the capture of Saddam Hussein.

Senator Orrin Hatch says the capture serves as a warning to terrorist groups around the world.

Hatch says this shows the world that we are not going to put up with inappropriate conduct, and that our strategic and important interests are not going to be ignore.

Senator Bob Bennett says Saddam's capture is a tribute to the expertise and professional of America's armed forces.

He says their persistence in the face of criticism and second guessing has prevailed.

Utah's three members of Congress say Saddam Hussein's capture will help the rebuilding process in Iraq.

Congressman Jim Matheson says it gives the United States and the rest of the world a great opportunity to move forward in Iraq.

Congressman Jim Cannon called Saddam a murderous tyrant. He says Saddam will now face justice in the framework of an open government, a stark contrast to the kind of system him imposed on the Iraqi people.

Congressman Rob Bishop says never again will Saddam Hussein torture his own people or threaten American security.
